Planning Board

The Etopia Planning Board reviews development applications and advises on land use and zoning matters. The Board works to ensure growth aligns with the Township’s Master Plan and community goals. Members consider impacts on infrastructure, neighborhoods, and the environment. Meetings are open to the public.

Zoning Board of Appeals

The Zoning Board of Appeals hears requests for variances and appeals related to Etopia’s zoning ordinances. The Board provides relief when strict enforcement of zoning regulations would create unnecessary hardship. Decisions are made in accordance with state law and local standards. Public hearings are held as part of the review process.

Board of Health

The Etopia Board of Health oversees public health regulations and promotes the safety and well-being of residents. Responsibilities include food establishment inspections, septic system oversight, and disease prevention. The Board works in coordination with county and state health agencies. It may adopt local health policies to address community needs.

Conservation Commission

The Conservation Commission works to protect Etopia’s natural resources, including wetlands, open space, and wildlife habitats. The Commission reviews development proposals for potential environmental impacts. It provides recommendations to other boards and township officials. The Commission also supports conservation education and stewardship efforts.
